Background and Current Work
As a senior radio frequency (RF) engineer for Riverside Research, Daniel Kien brings a wealth of technical and management expertise in the areas of RF waveforms and their distinctive characteristics. He began working at Riverside Research in 2011 and currently serves as a program manager. Daniel has led the development of the bandwidth efficient common data link hardware model and waveform multipath susceptibility studies.
Daniel also has experience developing and validating air-to-ground synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. His career has spanned all functions of the RF product development cycle. He has strong MATLAB RF signal processing skills that support communications, digitization, ELINT, SAR, and tracking systems.
Education, Awards, Recognition
He received his BS and MS in electrical engineering (EE) from Wright State University. His MSEE studies emphasized radar, Kalman filters, and tracking. His BSEE studies emphasized communications and microwave systems.
