Research Director, Engineering & Support Solutions Directorate
Terrence Gnau is the Director of the Engineering & Support Solutions Directorate at Riverside Research. Terrence has a diverse engineering and management background spanning twenty years including experience in Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) tasking, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TPED); strategic and financial planning; cyber security and reverse engineering; and program management.
As an Air Force Civilian with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) for ten years prior to joining Riverside Research, Terrence served as Senior Overhead Persistent Infrared/Overhead Non-Imaging Infrared (OPIR/ONIR) Analyst for the Directorate of Data Exploitation. While at NASIC, he also served as Virtual Intelligence Product Retrieval Environment Program Manager for the Advanced Programs Directorate. For the past ten years, he supported advanced programs at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).
In his current role, Terrence is responsible for all advanced technology research and development programs within the Integrated Electronic & Net-centric Warfare and Multispectral Sensing & Detection Divisions of AFRL. These programs focus on the development and deployment of state-of-the-art technologies that play a key role in protecting our nation’s critical cyber systems and avionics. His efforts directly affect critical cyber and major weapon systems technologies related to stealth, weapons of mass destruction, and directed energy systems.
A native of Ohio, Terrence earned a BS in computer engineering from Wright State University in 1996 and an MS in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton in 1999.
