Background and Current Work
Benjamin Gnau joined Riverside Research in May 2015. He provides systems engineering support to the USAF for processing and exploitation systems. Having worked as a programmer during the four years prior to his employment, his strong technical background gives Riverside Research’s customer the necessary experience to engineer new technologies and enhance operational legacy systems.
Benjamin’s most valuable contributions are in redefining the development process of previously underperforming operational software. Benjamin concentrates on user-driven development, creates a prioritization process that engages operational users and serves as the model for implementing other tools. By adopting a more agile-oriented development cycle, the tool has been delivered more frequently with more features and less bugs than on previous efforts, which has resulted in greater mission effectiveness and greater user satisfaction. He ensures that these successful practices are applied and followed once development of the new operational tools starts.
Education, Awards, and Recognition
Benjamin received his BS in computer engineering from Wright State University. His performance in solving challenging problems has garnered continual praise and appreciation from the customer.
