Background and Current Work
Paul Frank joined Riverside Research in 2010. He has 12 years of experience within the intelligence community as an environmental intelligence subject matter expert and systems engineer, advancing the development and application of algorithms supplementing weather missions and environmental intelligence for USAF requirements and customers.
Paul performs systems engineering and provides project management support to environmental intelligence R&D activities for the USAF. He applies atmospheric science and remote sensing knowledge to current and existing projects and provides technical guidance for R&D projects. Paul manages Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) wideband processing application projects and oversees and guides the development of associated civil and environmental applications. He has led numerous development efforts for the wide area combustion detection system, SBIRS wideband processing applications, and various civil and environmental applications. Paul has also supported SBIRS product outreach and education to senior policy makers, distinguished members of the National Academy of Sciences, and civil and international communities.
Education, Awards, and Recognition
Paul has a BS and MS in atmospheric sciences from the University of North Dakota. He was a 2013 recipient of the Riverside Research Ralph J. Mastrandrea Memorial Award for outstanding achievements and demonstrated devotion to the national intelligence and environmental missions.
