Background and Current Work
Peter Beer is a recognized expert on measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT) sensors from radio frequency (RF) to acoustic. For over thirty years, Peter has contributed to successful space situational awareness, technical collection, missile defense, and unattended ground sensor missions. He provides system engineering, independent verification/validation, and acquisition/sustainment support for a variety of large programs including Cobra King and the Fixed Station Sensor (FSS) program. He has been the technical lead for multiple sustainment and modernization studies and was the originator of the multi-sensor, radar analysis tool-suite—PHAROS.
Education, Awards, and Recognition
Peter earned a BS in biomedical engineering from Boston University (BU) in 1984, an MS in computer engineering from BU in 1988, and an MS in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in 2002. In 2018, he completed a four-course, graduate certificate program in data analytics at Northeastern.
