Riverside Research Opens Centreville Research Office

CENTREVILLE, VA – Riverside Research, a not-for-profit scientific research company primarily serving the US Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, held an open house on January 27 to showcase its newest state-of-the-art facility. The Centreville Research Office, located at 5870 Trinity Parkway, Suite 610, is one of two easily-accessible office locations within the National Capitol Region, the other being in Crystal City.

Formerly located in Chantilly, VA, the new Centreville Research Office is designed to foster innovation through intracompany, industry, and government collaboration at all security levels. The new office features smartly configured floor plans designed to promote productivity in a collaborative environment. The space is flexible with distinctive and progressive design elements, including interconnecting and scalable offices, fully equipped conference rooms, data-rich laboratories, and various business services. Visit the Riverside Research Flickr profile to view photos of the new facility and open house event.

Nearly 100 guests and employees attended the open house. Event highlights included a ribbon cutting ceremony led by President Richard Annas, guided facility tours, and demos of the company’s aircraft and satellite mission planning toolkits – the Visual Aircraft Mission Management Portal (VAMMP), which is the visual interface to the Enterprise Collection Planner (ECP), and the satellite Collection Planning Suite, which includes the Automated Collection Planning Tool (ACPT) and Enterprise Collection Research Tool (eCRT).

VAMMP, a customizable manned/unmanned, fixed/rotary wing aircraft sensor mission planning and analysis system, is used to support airborne collection planning for government customers and independent research and development (IR&D) projects. ACPT supports satellite collection planning for government customers and long-range forecasting to support mission effectiveness analyses of future satellite concepts for the acquisition community. eCRT offers a collection research capability that allows customers to define research targets and easily monitor their collection requests through access to collection plans.
