Former NCR Executive Joins Riverside Research Board of Trustees

NEW YORK, NY – Riverside Research, an independent, not-for-profit organization serving the national security, intelligence, and public health sectors since 1967, announced today that John Giering, former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at NCR Corporation, was unanimously elected to the company’s Board of Trustees.
“Mr. Giering brings a wealth of experience, tremendous leadership, and a unique business perspective to our Board of Trustees,” said Tom Pitts, Chairman of the Board. “Having previously served on the Board of Directors for a number of non-profit organizations, he understands our culture and commitment to advancing scientific research in the public interest. Riverside Research is fortunate to have Mr. Giering as a Trustee.”
A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Giering holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Duke University and a master’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University. He is a resident of the Dayton, Ohio region, the largest operating location for Riverside Research.
