DAYTON, OH – Riverside Research, a not-for-profit company with facilities in Beavercreek, Ohio, announced new scholarships that will provide funding to Dayton-area college students seeking degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) beginning fall 2014.
Riverside Research’s scholarship initiative is the newest part of a larger community outreach effort to support local colleges and universities through internships, co-ops, joint research projects, curriculum development, and adjunct professors.
Riverside Research is rooted in academia, incorporated as a spin-off of Columbia University’s Electronic Research Laboratories in 1967. Based in part on the company’s unique appreciation for STEM education in this country, the new scholarship program is another way to honor the academic heritage of Riverside Research and contribute to the national technical workforce of tomorrow.
The inaugural scholarship program will run through the 2014-2015 academic year. Eligibility is further limited to US citizens who maintain a GPA of 3.0, and have demonstrated community involvement; preference is given to needs-based applicants. More information to come.
