This five-year research and development contract seeks to develop a new protection paradigm that separates security-monitoring functionality from the protected system, focusing on low-resource, embedded, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The program will explore technologies to associate the running state of a device with its involuntary analog emissions across different physical modalities.

Utilizing its Open Innovation Center, a collaborative work environment with dedicated laboratory spaces and advanced technology work stations, Riverside Research aims to use multi-modal analog sensing technology to capture passive emissions from digital devices and correlate these emissions with the internal operation of the device.
