Located at booth 1138, Riverside Research AI/ML experts will be demonstrating their latest capabilities in object and facial recognition technologies for mobile applications. Technological innovation has enabled the development of computationally power-efficient, general-purpose computing devices in extremely small form factors. Combined with the power of ML approaches, these devices offer the potential to move real-time processing and analytics to any collection platform that is constrained due to size, weight, and power limitations. Riverside Research will be able to discuss these topics along with other AI/ML research areas, such as third-generation spiking neural networks, neuromorphic computing, and deep learning.

In addition, Riverside Research will also highlight its Collection Planning Suite (CPS)—a web-based modeling and simulation environment and an automated planning tool for space-based GEOINT. CPS is operational in the NGA and provides collection planning for a distinct group of satellites, and this agnostic multi-sat solution is being considered for a variety of future missions. The evolution of the small satellite community is driving the need for a robust universal solution. Company experts will demonstrate the tool’s multi-sat solution, feasibility analysis, and asset finder.

GEOINT will be holding lightning talks on April 23 and 24, in which three Riverside Research experts were selected to present about the following topics:

• Dr. Ann Carbonell, Preparing the GEOINT Special Sauce for Autonomous Vehicles
• Dr. Jeff Clark, The State of AI/ML within NASIC/GSPR
• John Ploschnitznig, WaterLens: From the Battlefield to the Cornfield

In addition, as a co-chair of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s (USGIF) ML/AI Working Group, Riverside Research will assist in leading the Introduction to ML and AI workshop held on April 24 during the symposium.

Finally, Riverside Research is promoting its remote sensing textbook: The Phenomenology of Intelligence-focused Remote Sensing, which will be available for purchase at a discounted rate for all GEOINT Symposium attendees. Daily drawings will be held, and the winners will receive a copy of the textbook. Proceeds from all textbook sales benefit the Riverside Research and USGIF Ken Miller Scholarship for Advanced Remote Sensing Applications.
