Riverside Research will focus its cyberspace education, research, and development activities into two primary categories: supporting and operational. Cyberspace as a supporting activity considers the provisioning and sustainment of the “cyber bridge,” the physical and logical network layers in which we store, move, process, and use information with special emphasis on critical infrastructure protection. At the tactical, operational, and strategic levels, cyberspace is a medium in which defensive and offensive effects are delivered ensuring mission assurance. The research and development of command and control techniques to provide situational awareness will be of key importance.

The company will continue initiatives to educate and conduct research on the protection and exploitation of the cyberspace domain for defensive and offensive cyber operations, as well as develop pioneering theory, methods, and applications for cyber operations internal to host organizations and externally across the entire national cyber research community.
