Protecting our nation is job one at Riverside Research. Nurturing our community is one way we make sure the future we’re protecting is bright. We’re proud to demonstrate a commitment to our future workforce, our local communities, and to our nation through active participation in events, scholarships and sponsorships, and as conscious global citizens.
We believe that participation in the Intelligence Community (IC) comes with more than the responsibility to protect our nation. That’s why we’re focused on ensuring our commitment to service doesn’t stop with our research. This is particularly incumbent upon us as a nonprofit.
Riverside Research provides a multitude of opportunities for education, enrichment, and scholarships. We understand that our next generation workforce starts with giving students the support they need to explore STEM careers. And we know that in order to protect all of us, we need a wide range of perspectives and experience. That’s why we sponsor the GEM Fellowship Program, which provides fellowships to students from underrepresented backgrounds.
We also offer a summer internship program and gladly employ some of our former interns upon graduation. Riverside Research actively recruits those looking for early career opportunities. Our experience tells us that an intergenerational workforce equals mission success.
Through our Waves for Change initiative, Riverside Research is a strong supporter of the American Heart Association. In line with our Women’s Employee Resource Group and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Council, we understand that cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in American women and exacts a disproportionate toll on many racial and ethnic groups. And we want to make a difference in preventing it.
We know people who work at Riverside Research are valuable assets to our organization – and their families and communities. We offer a variety of mental and physical health activities to promote wellness at work and beyond. As a distributed workforce consisting of remote, hybrid, and onsite employees, we’ve created desktop gardens together and have even participated in yoga workshops.
When possible, we believe hard work deserves flexibility, knowing that our employees’ wellbeing allows them to make greater contributions in the broader community.
Riverside Research offices regularly participate in drives to support organizations in their local communities. They include food pantries, domestic abuse shelters, school supply drives, winter coat drives for families in need, blood drives, and more.
Internationally, we are members of the Space Industry for Ukraine (SIFU), an initiative designed to fund and execute efforts that provide immediate and ongoing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.
Riverside Research’s “The Phenomenology of Intelligence-focused Remote Sensing” is the first textbook of its kind to include phenomenology, sensors, and intelligence applications under one cover. It builds on over three decades of specialized instruction in electro-optical remote sensing technologies and geospatial applications. Go beyond the fundamentals and order this book here.
